I’m pretty heavily involved in the support Berlin is providing for Camp RZR East.
Just a tip about coming here for the weekend; Make a RESERVATION.
If you want the closest camping, the best price and the security of knowing that you have a place to camp and it’s not 20 miles by car and 60 miles by trail, then PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, make a reservation with a temporary campground or some other lodging facility.
Berlin is set up a lot different from Brimstone. We don’t have wide open fields right at the event, so property owners have offered up their flat land throughout Berlin, Gorham, Milan and Stark. We have a couple thousand sites available, but not all are prime.
If you choose to “just show up” you’re going to have a heck of a time figuring out where to stay. Following the crowd will just lead you to full lots, or truck and trailer parking areas. Then you’ll have to turn around, get information from someone and find another place to stay.
If you make a reservation, then you are assured of your location, price and proximity to the event. Why not call ahead and know you’re all set?
I’ve heard rumors of 200 or so in a group that are just going to find a spot. Good luck to them, I hope they do, but it’s going to be such a hassle where one phone call could get them 200 sites all together. Better to enjoy your weekend than to spend it upset because of poor planning.
Once again, here’s the link you need. Check it out.
