Hello wanted to make light on an unfortunate thing that happened to my XP 900 ( But any PROSTAR engine platform it can happen too) My timing chain auto tensioner wasn’t allowing the chain to “jump” but it wasn’t keeping it tight either…. I lost my engine by the chain slapping around in the engine case shaving aluminum particles into the pan….. Pump picked it up… forced it thru to the filter and well that was ok until the filter clogged…..and than bypassed by catastrophic failure and burned up the crank and balancer ETC….

SO please invest into a reputable company AUTO tensioner or manual style and avoid this… $150 is cheap insurance

Also pay close attention : IF YOU ARE RUNNING aftermarket valve springs buy ONLY the HIGH TENSION or MANUAL style.
