WE GOT INTO TOWN AT AROUND 8:30 AND ALL THE RESTRAUNTS WERE CLOSED SO WE DROVE AROUND TILL WE FOUND 1 HOUSE THAT WAS SELLING TACOS OUT THE FRONT PORCH I THINK WE SHOCKED HIM 6 RZRS WITH 2 IN EACH AND OUR CHASE TRUCK SO HE GOT MOBBED BY 14 HUNGERY SOLES
BUT HE KEPT UP AND GOT US FED DINNER FOR ME AND MY SON WAS ABOUT 120 PESOS ,PRETTY CHEAP WE ALSO GOT GOOD DIRECTIONS TO SANTA MARIA AND THE NEW RESORT THEY JUST BUILT VERY NICE HOTEL AND AGAIN 800 PESOS FOR A DOUBLE ROOM AND A GAURD THAT WATCHED OUR STUFF ALL NIGHT I EVEN LEFT THE GPS IN THE CAR , WE HAD !XP4 THAT THOUGHT HE HAD LOST A CV OR SOMETHING AS IT WAS RATTLING AND SHAKING SO WE PUT IT ON THE TRAILER THE NIGHT BEFORE ,ONCE THE SUN WAS UP AND WE COULD CHECK IT OUT HE HAD BENT HIS CALIPER MOUNT AND HIS REAR BRAKE SHOE HAD DROPPED OUT SO IT WAS RUBBING ON THE ROTOR ,
WE REMOVED THE REAR WHEEL AND GOT A PIECE OF WOOD TO PUT INBETWEEN THE CALIPER AND PISTON AND PUMPED UP THE BRAKE TO HOLD IT IN PLACE THEN BOLTED THE CALIPER TO THE SWING ARM IN FRONT OF THE AXLE AND HE MADE THE REST OF THE TRIP WITH NO TROUBLES AFTER THAT , LEFT THE HOTEL AND WENT DOWN ON THE BEACH POINTED THEM SOUTH AND WENT AND FOUND A NICE LITTLE LOCAL PLACE FOR BREAKFAST 120 PESOS FOR ALL YOU COULD EAT WITH A DRINK HAND MADE TORTILLAS AND JUST ABOUT ANY THING ELSE YOU WANTED AFTER BREAKFAST WE HEADED DOWN THE HIGHWAY ABOUT 5 MILES AND TURNED OF ON A MINING CO ROAD I DONT KNOW WHAT KIND OF TRUCKS THEY DRIVE BUT WE DID ABOUT 65 MILES THRU THE MOUNTAINS IN SILT ABOUT 2’DEEP IN PLACES IT WAS A GREAT RIDE BUT IN A TRUCK NO WAY, WE GOT LOST FOR A COUPLE HOURS , MISSED A TURN OFF BUT WE FOUND A COUPLE NEAT PLACES AND AT THE END OF 1 RAOD ABOUT 90 MILES OFF THE PAVMENT WAS A HOUSE, HONEY WE’RE OUT OF MILK CAN YOU RUN TO THE STORE

JUST CRAZY THE STUFF YOU FIND WELL BY THE END OF THE DAY WE WERE IN EL ROSARIO AT THE BAJA CACTUS HOTEL 500 PESOS 30.00 US FOR A LARGE DOUBLE WITH KING SIZE BEDS NICE NICE PLACE. HAD A SHOWER AND CLIMBED BACK IN THE CARS AND DID ABOUT 20 MILES OUT TO A FISHING VILLAGE WHERE A FISHERMANS WIFE COOKED US A FISH DINNER WITH HOME MADE TORTILLAS RICE BEANS AND A SOUP WITH CLAMS FISH CRAB ETC. ANOTHER GREAT MEAL FOR 100 PESOS
I TELL YOU FOOD IS CHEAP LODGING IS CHEAP BUT THE GAS IS CHEAPER HERE IN SANTA BARBARA THAT DOWN IN MEXICO? COURSE RAN IT FOR ABOUT 15MILES AND BACK OVER TO THE BEACH ENDED UP IN A GATED COMMUNITY AND HAD TO FIND SOME ONE TO LET US OUT ENDED UP AT THE PIRATES BAR/RESTRAUNT FOR A REST BEFORE HEADING TO COULENET AND ANOTHER NEWER HOTEL 650 PESOS CANT REMEMBER THE NAME BUT BIG PLACE ON THE HILL SOUTH OF TOWN. THIS WAS OUR LAST NIGHT SO DRANK A COUPLE BEERS WITH EVERYONE BEFORE BED GOT UP AT 5.00 SHOWERD AND THEN PREPPED THE CAR NO BREAKFAST TODAY JUST A COUPLE GRANOLA BARS AND A MONSTER THEN DOWN INTO TOWN TO TOP OFF THE GAS AND HEAD BACK TO OUR TRUCKS HAD A GREAT LUNCH AT THE RESTRAUNT WHERE WE PARKED THEN GOT LOADED UP AND HEADED TOWARDS THE BORDER SO THIS DAY WAS GONNA BE LONG 5AM TO 10:30 WHEN I GOT HOME BORDER CROSSING WAS ALMOST PLEASENT WE GOT SENT INTO SECONDARY BUT THEY WERE NICER THAN THE OFFICER AT THE ENTRY POINT TOTAL WAITING IN LINE WAS ABOUT 2.5 TO GET ACCROSS WE WENT THROUGH TECATE I HEARD SAN YSEDRO WAS ABOUT 5+ HOURS THAT WOULD DRIVE ME NUTS
