I work for two guys (business partners) who own two identical 2017 RZR XP 4 Turbos. I have spent a lot of time in RZRs lately, and they are such incredible machines that I now want…no NEED one for myself and my family.
However, I’m the sort of guy who rides A LOT, and I live in a place where I can ride A LOT. If I buy one, I WILL put about 2000+ miles a year on it. I know this because I’ve been putting those miles on my quad every year.
Based on your knowledge and personal experiences, please share with me your predictions on “service life” for an XP 4 Turbo.
I don’t want to drop $25K on a RZR – even if it IS amazing – if it’s only going to last two years before needing a major overhaul of some sort.
I meticulously maintain my powersports, and I would say I ride “easy” about 90% of the time, and BAJA-style full-out about 10% of the time. My RZR would see the dunes, cinder hills, highway, forest roads, low deserts, etc.
I’m wondering if I could get a good 5 years (10K miles) out of a RZR XP 4 Turbo.
