I know there are different opionions on whether this is a good idea or not. My machine is a 2012 with 7k on it. Exhaust is far from “like new” so if shortens it’s life oh well.

This machine in new to me and on the first long ride the plastics around the bed were so hot I don’t know how the plastics aren’t melting. I already installed a reflective insulation in the bed followed by a sheet of plywood followed by a horse mat. Looks great and I had the materials on hand. Works amazing. The surface was cool to the touch. It was the plastics all around that that were very warm.

My question is how did those of you that have wrapped go about it? Remove the bed? Remove the exhaust and header? It’s so tight in there I don’t see it possible without doing one or the other?
