In the service manual for the cam installation part, I don’t believe it requires me to have the pistons in any particular location prior to cam installation and subsequent valve clearance check. During the valve clearance check the cams are rotated without the timing chain connected. I’m concerned that if the engine is an interference engine I could push the valves into the pistons when rotating the cams. Is my concern valid? Is the engine an interference engine?
