There have been posts on the forum about how to wire a non Polaris sound system to the Ride Command. I didn’t want to add a second system since I already the SSB quad overhead speaker system. So I purchased a harness from forum member -WISK- and it works very well plug and play. His harness plugs into the existing audio out cable and has a 3.5 mm female or male out on the other end.
My new SSB didn’t have the cubby for direct install of an iPod but did have an Aux out and they have an accessory cable (red, black RCA out) that I converted
To 3.5mm. Then I ran a 10′ male/male 3.5 mm (Amazon) through the roll bar to under the hood to plug in my iPod, phone, etc. This worked OK for tunes until I bought the RC.
I just plugged this into Wisks cable and now the Ride Command works through the Aux source on the SSB. This may sound complicated but it’s not. I think this could easily be adapted to 1 or 2 independent speakers bypassing the need for an Amp.
I didn’t care for the Ride Command door speakers (love my PRP bags) and the other Polaris speakers are way over priced IMO.
Wisk makes a professional grade cable so just throwing this info out again in case anyone else is struggling with the lack of speaker options.
