I was speaking with a co worker today and he mentioned that the Turbos are prone to over heating, and melting the nearby plastics, and starting a fire. Is this a know issue, if so what can be done to avoid a fire. Yes a fire extinguisher is common sense but that is reactive. What can be done to be proactive and avoid the fires all together. I did a search on Turbo fires and didn’t see much on this site discussing them. Is he just assuming the previous fires what were linked to the fuel return line was Turbo related?

I want to be informed.

Thank You
